PERMIT GARDEN: A dreamlike parable about immigration, Permit Garden follows a nameless child as they toil to gain exit from the Garden. But as time goes on, they wonder if escape is even possible.
HAVING A SAY AT YOUR JOB: Why Workers’ Voice Builds Better Workplaces, Better Economy, Better Lives. Labour economist Jim Stanford takes viewers on an animated tour of a workplace where workers have a strong collective voice: that is, the ability to speak out, be heard, and make change. The video illuminates key findings from economic research: namely, when workers have a strong ‘say’ at work, workplaces are safer, more productive, and fairer, and workers’ lives are better.
BARGAINING FORWARD: This bilingual (English and French) documentary showcases the unity and resilience of 22,000 public sector workers in New Brunswick, Canada, as they strike against wage suppression. It explores strategic mobilization and collective bargaining efforts by the Canadian Union of Public Employees, culminating in a province-wide movement that successfully challenges austerity and sparks labour action across Canada. Produced by the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
